When a friend of mine was recording an album of sons back in the late 1980s, she wanted to include several of my songs. Most were existing songs, but I wrote this evangelistic song for her to sing, as it spoke about things she was going through at the time
lyrics
After all you heard you still walk away
Knowing all you do it still doesn't sway your mind
No peace to find
I can show you all that God means to me
I can show you life as it's meant to be for you
He'll pull you through
God did it all to save the human race
You know it all but still you spit in his face
Taking your life in your own hands
Molding your life to your own plans
Losing it all at the end of the day.
Many times you heard of what God has done
Many times you heard it said of the Son of God
Our steps He trod
How you make your heart so cold I don't know
How you hear His voice and still have to go away
Why won't you stay?
Love is the reason Jesus came and died
You make it out as if He had always lied
Taking your life in your own hands
Molding your life to your own plans
Losing it all at the end of the day.
